Oxford Lib Dems have responded to MP Andrew Smith's comments on a motion against Post Office closures passed by the city council.

Liberal Democrats over the city have recently joined forces to fight government proposals to close up to 2500 Post Offices nationwide. At least 15 Post Offices have closed in Oxford since 1999, with the latest shutting in Summertown at the end of last year.
