"Cowley Road Carnival is a vital part of East Oxford" Dr Steve Goddard

Dr Steve Goddard, Oxford East Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate spoke at the fundraiser at the James St Tavern for Cowley Road Carnival on Saturday, urging local people to help raise the funds to keep the carnival going.

Steve said:

"The Cowley Rd is one of the central parts of Oxford. It's diversity, liveliness and culture adds so much to Oxford. The Carnival has been a great success in celebrating all the communities in East Oxford. So many local people, myself included, have enjoyed it over recent years. "

"It would be a real shame if the Carnival wasn't able to take place this year. It's really important that we keep the Cowley Rd Carnival going, and make sure it goes from strength to strength. Please help raise the money to keep this great celebration going."
